Eliminates The Use of Forms For Laminating Radiused Components. Computer Controlled Setup and Operation.
Features:
The PT6 Radius Former is our top end machine and incorporates fully automatic CNC setup and operating capabilities. The machine is typically supplied with a Radio Frequency Generator to accelerate adhesive curing when forming wood laminates. The machines is also capable of forming both hollow and solid aluminum extrusions.
This PT6 is capable of forming a wide array of geometrical shapes including circular, elliptical, arch segment and more.
Programming and operation of the machine is simple and straightforward. Operator interface and machine control is through a proprietary PC program. The program includes machine self-diagnostics.
The software leads the user through a series of questions such as type of shape, diameter, spring back, etc. that geometrically define the pattern. The software then calculates the exact location for each of the 82 aluminum form arms and locates the form-arms with high precision stepper motors.
The component is then loaded into the machine and pressed against the form-arms by a stainless steel band that positioned by an overhead bridge and tensioned by hydraulic brakes.
The RF Generator cures the adhesive in as little as 90 seconds. The part is allowed to cool and then removed from the machine.
